It all started with a single humble wish – to share our recipes with the world, while never forgetting that how something is made and where it comes from is always at the heart of our dream.

We believe that food should be available to all.  We also believe that providing premium quality should not stress either your wallet or the earth’s ability to sustain.

For us, MiGusto means that brand integrity is woven into everything we do. We are really just a group of foodies and cuisine lovers inspired by the belief that you don’t have to compromise – quality for efficiency, – nutrition for preservation, – taste for convenience, – or value for affordability.

Meet Our Chef

As a little girl in San Sebastián, Spain then moving to Mexico at a young age, I grew up in the kitchen watching closely the work of my mother and led by the gentle guidance of my grandmother – both of whom were professional chefs – including our trips to the marketplace to learn how to purchase fresh produce.  

Without even knowing it, my love for cooking was born.  But I never thought I, too, would dedicate myself professionally to the kitchen and continue a family legacy, since for me preparing fine meals was something natural that belongs to my essence.

After finishing my basic studies, I decided to move to Paris to study pastry, only later to return home to Mexico to add studies in economics and a Business Administration degree to my resumé; then back to San Sebastián before progressing to New York to finish my studies in the world of gastronomy. 

Since then, I have accomplished two of the most important goals in my life, building a family and loving home with my children; and creating dishes that draw a smile to my guests and remain as a love message in their hearts.

Giving a piece of yourself through every plate is rewarded by each smile filling my heart with joy.

THAT is where the magic of the kitchen truly exists!

Award-winning Executive Chef, Arantxa de Saracho, has carefully curated each recipe in the MiGusto collection.  

As a girl first learning and later building upon the recipes of her two closest professional chefs, her mother and grandmother, she was able to hone her skills , testing different combinations and taking tips from enthusiastic vendors so proud of what they produced. After years of steady cultivation, formal studies in gastronomy in Mexico and pastry skills in Paris, with a little more education by experience along the way, Arantxa returned to Mexico where, among other things, she is executive Chef at her own thriving restaurant.

Authentic cuisine is something you feel with all of your senses when you try a MiGusto selection created by Chef Arantxa.

Local Farm-to-Table

The marketplace taught young Arantxa the basic importance of Source in preparing her culinary creations. As her experience grew, she learned that fresh ingredients led to premium flavors - and nothing was fresher than right off the farm.

To this very day, for MiGusto and every meal she prepares, Chef Arantxa still loves going to the local markets and meeting the vendors where she carefully chooses each ingredient before bringing them back to her kitchen for her team of chefs to test and create with her.

Local Farm-To-Table is much more than a slogan about “freshness” at MiGusto. The pride of local farmers in creating their crops from the soil, the care in raising them as if their own family, sharing tips for storing and using, and knowing that the profits they make keep our neighbor’s farms thriving and their families secure all with faith that their labors will be a part of someone’s exceptional culinary experience is the heart of what Mi Gusto is all about.

At MiGusto supporting the vast eco-system of sustainable local farming to simultaneously help conserve the soil and water and remove carbon from our atmosphere starts with local sourcing - THAT is a cornerstone of who we are and what we believe; and, the freshness of its results are just a small part of the reward we share with you with our recipes.
